What could be called the Black section of Netflix; Strong Black Lead announced the line-up of new online programming.  The programming will include many of our favorite Black-led shows from the ’90s and 2000s.  That is right!  These new releases are giving us a reason to be like Roger, go home, and stay there!

These shows will be coming to Netflix throughout August, September, and October. Here is the full list, and their scheduled streaming dates:

  1. Moesha – Aug 1
  2. The Game (Seasons 1-3) – Aug 15
  3. Sister Sister – Sept 1
  4. Girlfriends – Sept 11
  5. The Parkers – Oct 1
  6. Half & Half – Oct 15
  7. One on One – Oct 15

If you do not see your beloved Black-led show on the upcoming Netflix list, it may be on another programming app.  For example, Amazon Prime has A Different World.  BET+ has Martin.  HBO Max has Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.  Hulu has Living Single, Family Matters, and Hanging with Mr. Cooper.  STARZ has The Parent Hood, Malcolm & Eddie, Sanford & Son, Good Times, and The Jeffersons.

The goal of Strong Black Lead is to celebrate and lift up Black Hollywood.  To that, we say job well done!
