Voting is now open and runs through April 24 for nearly 130 slots on GO Teams in all Atlanta Public Schools.
GO Teams are nine-member groups responsible for establishing strategic plans for their schools, voting on innovative school-based solutions, approving the school’s budget, and reviewing school data and providing input to the principal related to school improvement. They are made up of three elected parents/caregivers, three elected instructional staff, two appointed community members, one appointed swing seat, and one appointed student (high school only).
There are 128 elected parent/guardian and instructional staff slots up for grabs during the elections. Links allowing parents and caregivers to vote were sent to them through a combination of text, email and U.S. mail, while instructional staff received their link via their APS email.
For more information about the candidates for each school team, visit the APS website to review their qualifications and vision for each school.
