NBCI opposes immigration executive order

Reverend Anthony Evans. president of the NBCI says, “I would like to commend the ACLU, the State Attorney Generals, members of Congress of both parties who are standing up against the tyranny offered by this Administration within 15 days of his new presidency.
Let it be clear to President Trump that the Black church will use the full weight of its power to defend the destitute, the outcast, the untouchables and the disinherited against anyone from this day forward.
But if the president is ever right, we will stand and use this same moral power to defend him. In this case he is morally wrong and reprehensible. This is a systematic policy of exclusion and we will have nothing to do with it.”
This executive order is racist in its intent and application and therefore we will meet good with evil and oppose that.
NBCI is prepared to offer a friend of the court brief if this law is appealed to the Supreme Court. It is our moral obligation and sacred duty, even to protect those who are not of our faith but are members of the human race.
