MARTA Employee Charity Club Brings Holiday Joy to Children in Need

 
The MARTA Employee Charity Club will bring good cheer to more than 4,000 metro Atlanta area children with the annual MARTA Holiday Gift Shop. Employees raised $70,000 for this year’s gift giveaway, which continues this 30-year tradition of providing presents for the children of families in need.
 
Children ages 10 and under whose families have pre-registered for the event will receive brand-new toys including trucks, dolls and bicycles. New to this year’s giveaway are tablets that some children will receive as part of MARTA’s focus on technology and education.
 
MARTA GM/CEO Keith T. Parker will join Charity Club Chair Linda James and Executive Director Warren McMichael to open the Annual Holiday Gift Shop on Wednesday Dec. 21 at
7 a.m
. at MARTA Headquarters. All gifts will be distributed immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The MARTA Atrium will be turned into a winter wonderland full of presents!
