Interfaith Service on Violence
OCT. 6—A citywide interfaith service on violence and civic engagement will take place at 6 p.m. at Pentecostal Temple, 7399 East Liberty Blvd. Leadership of various factions will be represented. Attendees will hear stories from mothers who have lost loved ones and the impact it has had on their lives. Families of those who invested and have lost loves ones will be blessed. Youth attending this event will receive a special blessing from attending ministers. The new Greater Pittsburgh Coalition Against Violence Document will be unveiled and blessed. Come for an evening of inspirational music by The Pentecostal Temple Ensemble, the Mon Valley Community Choir, Pastor Deryck Tines and the Lemington Gospel Chorale. Revival
OCT. 6, 7, 8—Macedonia Baptist Church, 17 Cochran St., Duquesne, will host a Revival at  8 p.m. Reverend Dr. Willie Thompson will be the guest speaker. He will speak from 2 Chronicles 7:14, “Which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways…”

Mighty Men of Valor
Oct. 7-9—Bethlehem Baptist Church presents its Mighty Men of Valor. Pastor Pedro Williams; Rev. Earlene Coleman,  senior pastor; and Rev. Jamie Grayson, assistant pastor, will bring the word.

Trebletones in Concert
OCT. 9––First AME Church’s Steward Board will feature The Trebletones, a harmonizing gospel men’s group “Praise by Songs” concert. They will perform at 4 p.m. at 177 Mitchell Ave, Clairton, Pa. The Trebletones’ theme is “Go and Present Jesus in Songs.” The scripture is I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have My being.  Psalms 104:33(KJV) All are welcome to hear sweet melodies and revive your souls. Lamont Lewis is the Pro-Tem and Rev. Linda Moore is the pastor of First AME Church.

Pastoral Anniversary
OCT. 15-16––Mt. Zion Baptist Church, of West Newton, Pa., will celebrate the 13th Annual Pastor Eileen O. Smith anniversary. On Saturday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. we will have a Celebration in Music featuring gospel recording artists Nikki Porter and Friends and also, Voices for Christ. The praise and worship will be by Lighthouse Cathedral Praise Team of Mt. Oliver, Pa.  On Sunday, Oct. 16 at 10:45 am there will be a service where the guest preacher will be Rev. Phyllis James of Grace Space Ministries of Pittsburgh, Pa. The special guests for this service will be poet David Jones and psalmist Denise Johnson. For more information, call 412-478-1340

Fall Revival
OCT. 19, 20, 21—The Jerusalem Baptist Church, S. 5th St., Duquesne, cordially invites all to its annual three day “Fall Revival.’” This year the guest is Proclaimer of the Word, Rev. John A. Knight, assistant pastor at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. A service will take place each night. Rev. T. Johnson is the pastor.

Usher’s Annual Day
OCT. 9—Come and celebrate The Usher’s Annual Day at 4 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 108 W. 12th Ave, Homestead. In concert will be The Male Chorus from New Jerusalem Holiness Church, Pittsburgh. All are welcome. For more information, call 461-8235.
