Shaquillle O’Neal incurred the wrath of social media when he chose to go onto Fox News to voice his denunciation of Colin Kaepernick’s protest of the National Anthem.
Kaepernick, of course, is the San Francisco 49ers quarterback who created a cultural storm nationwide when he was seen sitting during the national anthem. He would further incite anger when he told the media that he refuses to stand for the anthem when people of color are being oppressed in America.
This movement has picked up momentum across the NFL as multiple players from several teams were seen this weekend either kneeling in support of Kaepernick’s cause, or they raised their first in the air during the playing of the National Anthem.
O’Neal said he opposed the manner in which Kaepernick chose to stage his protest, which did not sit well with social media members.
