ATLANTA – The family of Troy Robinson, the man who was mysteriously and controversially tasered to death by police are taking legal recourse as a way to procure justice on his posthumous behalf.
On Monday, August 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. the family and attorneys of Troy Robinson, will hold a press conference to discuss the filing of the wrongful death law suit at the Davis Bozeman Law Firm located at 4153-C Flat Shoals Parkway Suite 332, Trinity Office Park, Decatur, Ga. 30034.
Troy Robinson was tased in the back by a DeKalb County Police Officer on August 6, 2015 as he climbed an 8-foot wall. Mr. Troy Robinson fell head first breaking his neck. He was later pronounced dead at Grady Hospital.
Robinson is, unfortunately, but one of multiple unarmed black men who have been killed by police in metro Atlanta under extremely conspicuous circumstances, matching the harrowing and horrific national narrative of African American males slain by law enforcement.
The wrongful death suit is being filed on behalf of Mr. Robinson’s children. Mr. Robinson’s family members will be present for comment.
