ATLANTA — Hawks guard Kent Bazemore will host several events from Saturday, August 6 through Monday, August 8 through his ARMS Foundation, as he launches the Foundation’s efforts in Atlanta. Bazemore and the Foundation are currently hosting a camp at his alma mater Bertie (NC) High School and last week hosted a camp in Norfolk, VA as well as a golf tournament in Virginia Beach, VA.
Following the Bowling for Hoops event on Saturday at Painted Pin, Bazemore will host an UNO tournament on Sunday at Fernbank Museum and a golf tournament at Druid Hills Golf Club on Monday.
“I’m so excited to be hosting these events in Atlanta with my Foundation and in partnership with the Hawks,” Bazemore said. “ARMS Foundation is very special to me and my family, and it’s a blessing to be in a position to have an impact in places and for people that have given so much love and support to me.”
Beneficiaries of the events include Bellwood Boys & Girls Club in Atlanta, Bertie YMCA in Bazemore’s hometown of Bertie, NC and 1st Tee of Hampton Roads Up Center (where Bazemore attended college at Old Dominion University).

ARMS Foundation (http://www.armsfoundation.org) was created by Bazemore originally as a way for him to give back to the community. The foundation’s mission is to develop and operate programs, activities, and facilities, namely recreational sports programs and basketball camps aimed at increasing the health status of children and young adults, wherever located, and/or benefiting underprivileged, less fortunate, and/or distressed children and young adults, wherever located.
