The final evening of the Democratic National Convention was one of the most anticipated closers for political watchers and millions of viewers who waited for Democratic Presidential nominee to speak.
Before Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea Clinton set up the emotional tribute to her mother’s experience and the humane side of why Americans should consider voting for her in November–a special video was shown to viewers.
Narrated by Actor Morgan Freeman, the twelve-minute film, “Hillary” also features interviews with President Bill Clinton, President Barack Obama, a 9/11 survivor and first responder, as well as Hillary Clinton’s childhood friend.

Produced by Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, the video was well produced and captured the attention of everyone at the Wells Fargo Center from delegates, vendors to those watching from home.

Rhimes said. “It is an honor to provide America with an intimate portrait of Hillary.  Everyone already knows the powerhouse – now, with this piece, everyone will also get to know the person.”

“Producing this film was a major highlight of my career, and I am incredibly honored that the campaign entrusted us with the responsibility.  It is beyond inspiring to see this amazing woman secure the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.  There is no other voice I would rather have spoken for all of us, and lead this country, than Hillary Clinton.” Rhimes producing partner, Betsy Beers said.

On day-four and the final night of the DNC revealed why Americans should sit up straight in their seats and take in the last two weeks of what messages was conveyed by each party committee. As critics questioned Hillary Clinton’s honesty, she peeled each layer off of Trump’s creditability, leaving the remains to be picked over and scrutinized. It was a long speech but it was considered more effective than Republican nominee, Trump’s who spent more time name bashing than bringing the American people together on common ground.

However, Ms. Clinton drove home every point of interest and concerns–giving clarity to millions of Americans of her experience as a former U.S. Senator and Secretary of State.

From the immigration to families whose suffered from losing loved ones in combat or those at the hands of domestic terrorism–each person before her addressed the nation with their personal story.

The historical significance of Clinton possibly becoming the first woman United States President–resonated throughout the convention as some of the leading female policy makers shared their feelings and endorsement.

U.S. Senator Nancy Pelosi said, “This moment is about the landmark progress President Hillary Clinton will achieve for families everywhere yearning for a better life, a better chance, in a better America. Hillary Clinton has a vision rooted in deeply held values. She has a genuine strength that differs profoundly from her opponent’s bluster. She has a gift for strategic thinking, seasoned by knowledge and experience. And she has a connection to hard-working American families forged in her lifetime of leadership and service to others.”

20160728_223007In her speech, Clinton points out, “Freedom and equality, justice and opportunity. We should be so proud that these words are associated with us.  I have to tell you, as your Secretary of State, I went to 112 countries, and when people hear those words – they hear America.” she said.

“So don’t let anyone tell you that our country is weak. We’re not. Don’t let anyone tell you we don’t have what it takes. We do. And most of all, don’t believe anyone who says: “I alone can fix it.”
