Atlanta City Councilmember Cleta Winslow marks her 19th year of sponsoring Back to School & Health Fairs in District 4

ATLANTA – Atlanta City Councilmember Cleta Winslow invites City of Atlanta residents to a Back to School & Health Fair on Saturday, July 23 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the West End Church of Christ, 1303 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, SW and on another on Saturday, July 30 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Mall West End, 850 Oak Street, S.W.

This is the 19th year that Councilmember Winslow has promoted and partnered with various organizations to help young people get a good start in the new school year.

The event at West End Church of Christ is for all students ranging from pre-K through college. The Back to School & Health Fair will be hosting free services to kick off a successful and healthy school year.

The June 23 fair will provide amenities, including backpack and school supplies, parent break- out information sessions, health and wellness screenings and resources, haircuts, notary public services, food and fun activities for all. The South West Ecumenical Emergency Assistance Center supports this Back to School & Health Fair.

The Mall West End event on Saturday, July 30, is from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. and includes a youth talent show, health screenings and back-to-school supplies. Other sponsors include the Mall West End, Empire Board of Realtists, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, West End Merchants Coalition, Collegiate, TOC, Family Health Centers of Georgia, the Atlanta Voice, Atlanta Cares and CBULL Enterprises.

The City of Atlanta Public Works, Watershed Departments, along with the Atlanta Fire Department will be in attendance at both events.
