The Alpha Memorial Boatride Weekend is a tradition in Pittsburgh. During this past Memorial Day weekend Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated—Alpha Omicron Lambda Chapter presented “Enter The Pharaohs.” The weekend triple play kicked off on Friday, May 27 with a Skeephi Party with the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Culture in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District. Guests enjoyed a relaxing happy hour and then turned up with DJ Blaksteel.

The next day Saturday, May 28 was perfect for a cookout at the Hill House complete with food, music and fun. On Sunday, May 29 guests boarded the Empress at the docks in Station Square for the “Enter The Pharaohs” Boatride. The boat cruised up and down the three rivers with DJ Nick Nice providing the sound track. According to the exit interviews “a good time was had by all.” The proceeds from the weekend will benefit the Alpha Omicron Lambda Scholarship Program.
