Easter Monday, March 28, the Silver Cord IAMWMW celebrated its 100th anniversary and 80th Easter Bonnet Luncheon and Fashion Show Extravaganza at the beautiful LeMont Restaurant overlooking the city of Pittsburgh. More than 200 attended and enjoyed, the exquisite view, the delicious food and a great fashion show highlighting the Silver Cord husbands modeling for the second year. The ladies turned out in pink with their beautiful Easter Bonnets. The 2016 Co-Chairs were Amelia Harris and Barbara Terry. Reverend Katrina Organ, Pastor of the Beulah Baptist Church served as the Mistress of Ceremonies.
One of their newest members Linda Ross Brown, a retired music teacher, delivered a message in song at the luncheon; Brown sang this past July at the Baptist World Alliance Congress, for the new President, Dr. Paul Msizers’ installation service in Durban, South Africa.
The Easter Bonnet Luncheon for the fourth year, will donate $1,000 to The Neighborhood Academy, a high school for at risk students that has a 100 percent college acceptance rate. The Silver Cord’s day of service was spent at Neighborhood Academy where they provided and served lunch to 100 students including faculty.

The Silver Cord IAMWMW, Inc. the oldest minister’s wives association in Pennsylvania continues to serve its mission under the leadership of a vibrant and committed woman of God, President Debra Faye Cooper.
