ATLANTA — Celebrating Our Heritage, Our History: Saluting African Americans in Sports and Entertainment is the theme of the annual  Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Heritage Dinner  set for Thursday, February 25 at the Georgia World Congress Center, 7 p.m. in the Georgia Ballroom.
The event will celebrate artists and entertainers with Georgia ties including: Baseball: Marty Perez, Atlanta Braves; Hank Aaron, Atlanta Braves and Brian Jordan, Atlanta Braves. Basketball: Mike Glenn, Atlanta Hawks and Debbie Miller, Olympian. Boxing: Evander Holyfield. Football: Stevie Baggs, Retired NFL/CFL Linebacker; Jamal Lewis, Atlanta Falcons; Gerald Riggs, Atlanta Falcons and Donald Eugene “DJ” Shockley, Atlanta Falcons. Soccer: Phoday Dolleh, Atlanta Silverbacks. Track and Field: Ralph Boston, Jackie Joyner-Kersey and Gwendolyn Torrence. Entertainment: Angie Stone, Terrance “TC” Carson, Tommy Ford, Carl Payne, Keisha Knight-Pulliam and Terri Vaughn.
