
Ladies Night Out
DEC. 16—The Women’s Ministry of Macedonia Baptist Church of Pittsburgh, 2225 Bedford Ave., Hill District, will host its Ladies Night Out from 3:30-6 p.m. at Painting With A Twist, 2603 E. Christmas Basket Food Drive
DEC. 18—Park Place AME Church, 215 E. 10th Ave., Homestead, will host its Joseph McCain’s Christmas Basket Food Drive from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. For two days, the church will distribute baskets that will include most of the fixings needed to make a Christmas meal for the family. Meat will not be included. The distribution will also take place on Dec. 19 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 412-461-5238
Christmas in East Liberty
DEC. 18—East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Highland Ave., East Liberty, will host its “Christmas in East Liberty” from 7:30-9:30 p.m. This is a joyous concert featuring The Brass Roots and organist Dr. Ed Moore, along with the East Liberty Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir and the Fox Chapel Area High School Madrigal Singers. The concert will include arrangements of Christmas classics and familiar carols sung by the audience. All are welcome. Kids Christmas Reunion
DEC. 19—Nabhi Christian Ministries, Faith Lutheran Church, Iron Cross Ministries and others will host the 18th Annual Kids Christmas Reunion from 3-7 p.m. This year’s theme will focus on the topics of Physical Fitness, Drug Prevention and Literacy. Kids ages 3-10 will engage in family activities, food, live entertainment and more. Space is limited and registration is required. An adult must accompany kids. The Chosen One
DEC. 19—The Music Ministry of Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church, 6111 Rodman St., East Liberty, will host “The Chosen One” from 4-6 p.m. at Pittsburgh Obama Academy of International Studies, 515 N. Highland Ave., East Liberty. This worship and arts production will be a treat for all who attend. Proceeds from the event will benefit families in need. Reservations are required. A Shepherd’s Story
DEC. 22—The Brown Chapel Heir Force of Brown Chapel AME Church, 1400 Boyle St., North Side, will host “Fearless: A Shepherd’s Story” at the New Hazlett Theater, 6 Allegheny Square East, North Side This original music-filled, family-friendly play will include acting, dancing and more.
