The excitement of the 2015-16 NBA season is building into a cresdendo. And in conjunction with Jr. NBA Week, the Atlanta Hawks are hosting a free basketball clinic at Philips Arena for coaches throughout the community.
During the Jr. Hawks Community Coaches Clinic, presented by Kaiser Permanente, members of the Hawks’ coaching staff, strength & conditioning staff and Hawks Alumni will discuss strategy, demonstrate drills and provide insight on the group’s basketball and training philosophy with attendees.
Hawks play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun will moderate an alumni panel to discuss the state of the game and the next generation of basketball. POINT 3, the official outfitter of the Jr. Hawks Affiliate League, will provide gear for youth basketball players involved in the event. The clinic is open to all coaches, who must RSVP here in advance to attend.
Kaiser Permanente has partnered with the Atlanta Hawks in a continued effort to build bridges through basketball, providing underprivileged youth with an opportunity to learn and play the sport they love via the Jr. Hawks program.
