WASHINGTON – First lady Michelle Obama stunned pop culture observers, fashion aficionados and media minions alike when she chose wear an eye-popping dress by a Chinese-American designer, which was apropos for Friday’s White House dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Mrs. Obama chose a black, off-the-shoulder mermaid gown by Vera Wang with a trumpet skirt, a nod to the evening’s international guests. Fitted, with sheer sleeves, it skimmed the floor with its tulle flounce. Mrs. Obama swept her long hair off to one side.
FLOTUS has worn Wang’s wears before, particularly awing onlookers with the strapless, electric blue column she donned at The Kennedy Center Honors in 2011, the Associated Press reports.
The internet went crazy praising the first lady for her stunning look.
