ATLANTA — Steve Harvey’s Ford Neighborhood Awards got off to a screaming start and never let up off the gas the entire day on Friday.
One of the nation’s most popular radio show and TV host and his many celebrity friends converged on the Georgia World Congress Center along with the multitude of Harvey fans for a full day of partying, laughing and being enlightened, educated and entertained.
Harvey started off the morning early with the live taping of his “Steve Harvey Morning Show” at the GWCC in downtown Atlanta that featured performances by Jazmine Sullivan and Robin Thicke and including a surprise appearance by Tyrese.
And the hilarity and hi-jinks continued throughout the day with performances by K. Michelle, the hosting of a short film by singer Tyrese, the showing the hugely successful Girlfriends Getaway sequel, Girlfriends Getaway 2, the gut-busting hosting of the “Family Feud” with radio show hosts Chubb Rock and Seiman and their families, the Ford Ride-and-Drive and, of course, the State Farm Freedom Friday party starring Erykah Badu and Jodeci and hosted by Ne-Yo.
By the way: if you missed the taping of the “Family Feud,” you absolutely missed undoubtedly the funniest, gut-busting, liver-quivering “Family Feud” ever hosted by any host.
And this was just day one. Stay tuned to the Atlanta Daily World for complete coverage of the Ford Neighborhood Awards blue carpet and the actual Neighborhood Awards show that honors outstanding achievements in the communities across the country.
