FOREST PARK, Ga. — A group of armed men robbed and kidnapped a woman at a Clayton County bank ATM overnight, according to local authorities.
The woman, 46, was reportedly traveling home from a party with two other females at about 2 a.m. when one of the women decided to stop at a stand-alone ATM to make a deposit into her account on Main Street in this south Atlanta suburb. This is the kind of ATM where you must exit your vehicle to use the machine.
According to Forest Park police, a woman was in her car at the Wells Fargo ATM at 1165 Main Street when she was approached by at least three armed robbers, all black males. When one of the women refused to give up the car, they grabbed her and forced her into the backseat and drove off in her car.
Neither the car nor the woman has been seen since.
Authorities are hoping that leads will quickly develop. The stone car is very distinctive: it is a dirty white 2010 Toyota Camry that has extensive front-end damage near the front driver’s seat and the fender is held together with a rope. The licence plate number is unknown.
