Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on the campus of the University of California-Los Angeles after getting into a fight with one of the coaches.
Diddy’s son Justin Combs has been a sparingly-used, third-year defensive back for the UCLA Bruins football team.
According to UCLA campus police, Diddy remains in custody in the on-campus jail after being arrested Monday afternoon after Diddy and strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi got into an argument inside the coach’s office when Diddy allegedly swung a kettle weight and put his hands on the coach.
The whole episode was caught on video.
It turns out that Alosi was really riding Diddy’s son, screaming and yelling at Justin Combs and Diddy took exception to it. Diddy has been a constant presence at the practices and has taken note of how the coach has been interacting with his son.
After this latest practice, tmz.com reports, Diddy went into Alosi’s office to confront him about his treatment of his son. Alosi was on the phone and told Diddy to hold on for a minute. Diddy was not trying to hear it and allegedly swung a heavy, powerful kettle weight at Alosi, barely missing him and then put his hands on Alosi. People close to the team told the media that if Diddy had of hit the coach with that kettle weight, it could have killed him.
Diddy counters that he was acting in self defense.
