MARIETTA, Ga. — Legendary rapper-turned-actor Ice T’s grandson is on headed to trial on multiple felony charges stemming from the shooting death of his roommate in their apartment last year.
Elyjah Morrow, 20, is free on bail until an upcoming trial for accidentally shooting his friend Daryus Johnson, 19, with a stolen handgun that went off inadvertently and striking the roommate in the chest. He was pronounced dead a short time later at an area hospital, the New York Daily News reported.

Morrow, an admitted small-time marijuana dealer, is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana more than an ounce, theft by receiving stolen property and possession of firearm during commission of a felony reckless conduct.
Ironically, Morrow’s grandfather, Ice T, came to fame nearly 30 years ago with the hit rap album “Power” featured the song “I’m Your Pusher.”
Ice T, born Tracy Morrow, then became an international star and extremely controversial artist when the infamous 1992 hit “Cop Killer” hit the airwaves around the time that Rodney King’s trial ignited the infamous L.A. riots.
Ice T, who has since starred in the urban classic New Jack City playing — what else? — a cop, also has a recurring role in the long-running popular cop show, “Law & Order” and is now featured on the E! show “Ice Loves Coco” with his wife.
