ATLANTA – A multitude of Divine 9 members flooded Morris Brown College inside the Atlanta University Center to feast and observe the ever-popular Stroll Challenge under an unyielding sun on Saturday afternoon.
Black Greek sororities and fraternities from across the country sojourned to the ATL for the 11th annual Black Greek Picnic for a week of comraderie, networking and partying. Some of the activities, of course, was highlighted by the $10,000 Step Show and ensuing concert by rap boss Rick Ross.
But also included a skate party at Cascade, Karaoke Live at Wet Willies, a takeover at the Compound and even representatives speaking at the “Power” red carpet premiere and screening with Omari Hardwick.
After the spectacular feats performed during the Stroll Off, Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma were declared the winners. But the real winners were the Black Greeks and non-Divine 9 members who witnessed the aerial acrobatics and stunning synchronized stepping that had to take months of practice to perfect.
