Community activists and family will hold a rally calling for the arrest of the Atlanta police officer who reportedly hit and killed Bernard Moore.
Community activists and the family of Bernard Moore, 62, will hold a rally Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. the Atlanta Police Department Headquarters located at 226 Peachtree Street SW in Atlanta to call for the arrest and criminal prosecution of Officer Christopher Blaise who allegedly caused the death of Mr. Moore by  reportedly striking him with his police squad car while speeding without emergency lights or sirens on down Metropolitan Avenue on March 6, 2015.
May 6th marks the two month anniversary of Mr. Moore being killed after being struck by Officer Blaise’s squad car.
“Our firm has hired an accident reconstructionist who has been to the scene and  renewed the surveillance video showing Mr. Moore being catapulted down the street by Officer Blaise’s speeding car. Our expert has calculated the officer’s patrol vehicle was traveling well above the speed limit. There is no legal reason that this officer should not be arrested and indicted for vehicular homicide,” said Attorney Robert Bozeman of the Davis Bozeman Law Firm.
“Any other citizen would have been arrested by now and this family deserves justice. It is important that as a community we do not leave this family’s side until this officer faces the same court system as every other citizen.” Derrick Boazman, a community activist.
