Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal expected to announce the expansion of Philadelphia-based Comcast in suburban Atlanta, creating up to 300 jobs in the north metro area.
This will be part of the governor’s economic development announcement on Tuesday morning at the state capitol, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. Atlanta is the Southeast headquarters for Comcast, a media and technology giant, and is expected to add 150 jobs in Peachtree Corners and another 150 jobs for its call center in Alpharetta.
The current 80,000 square foot center in Gwinnett County will include a high-tech demonstrations lab and a training center, the newspaper reported. The Southern headquarters covers eight markets, including South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee and Virginia.
