Mayor Reed's 'State of the City': Atlanta is 'dominant player in the Southeast'

Kasim Reed State of the City
Atlanta has unequivocally and incontrovertibly established itself as the “dominant player in the Southeast” and Mayor Kasim Reed will outline how the city will further entrench that reputation during his his last three years in office during the “State of the City” address on Feb. 4.
This year’s breakfast will be co-hosted by Sandy Douglas, President of Coca-Cola North America. The Mayor’s State of the City Business Breakfast is an annual event where business, community, faith and non-profit leaders come together to hear the “state of the city” from the Mayor. Mayor Reed’s address will highlight the accomplishments of his first five years in office and focus on future initiatives.
According to reports from the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the mayor will discuss current issues and developments going on in the city:

  • plans for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport;
  • what will become of the landmark Civic Center property;
  • the possible annexation of unincorporated areas of Fulton County.
