East Atlanta has been voted the No. 3 hottest neighborhood in the country by the Redfin Corp.’s Hottest Neighborhoods report that ranked neighborhoods in 27 cities.
Redfin Corp. is a Seattle-based real estate brokerage publication and it says East Atlanta is exploding with interest from millennials and empty nesters because of three major factors: trendy restaurants, bars and boutiques that can be found around East Atlanta Village.
“Buyers are realizing they can have everything at their fingertips by living near the city and are scrambling to buy homes here before prices rise,” Redfin agent Will Fassinger said in a statement. “Likewise, many tech sector workers who have relocated from the coasts are looking for an affordable area that offers the fun and excitement of a big city.”
Redfin also listed the top 10 hottest neighborhoods in the United States:

  1. El Cerrito (San Diego)
  2. Dickinson Narrows (Philadelphia)
  3. East Atlanta (Atlanta)
  4. Little Neck (Queens, N.Y.)
  5. Bohemia (Long Island, N.Y.)
  6. Curtis Park (Sacramento, Calif.)
  7. Andersonville (Chicago)
  8. Woodridge (Seattle)
  9. Crocker (San Francisco)
  10. Woodridge (Washington D.C.)
