Floyd Mayweather’s Son Says His Father Is ‘A Coward’ For Abusing Mother

Floyd Mayweather, Jr.Floyd Mayweather Jr. may command the respect of boxing fans for being undefeated, but it is anything but that when it comes to how his son Koraun views him. In the young man’s eyes, his father is nothing more than someone who refuse to own up to abusing his mother Josie Harris.
“He is a coward,” an angry Koraun told USA Today about his famous dad.
Koraun’s opinion of his father comes after witnessing the elder Mayweather physically attack Harris after a heated argument. Specifics of the incident are revealed by Koraun during an interview with USA Today.
The publication reports that Harris and Mayweather were living apart at the time of the incident. The pair were known for having a tempestuous relationship, full of fallings out and makeups. Although their relationship ended, Mayweather continued to be a presence in Harris’ life and was apparently unhappy with rumors of her dating another man.
After Harris called the authorities, Mayweather was asked to leave. He later returned in the early hours of the morning with his associate James McNair. Koraun ultimately let Mayweather in at his insistence. Harris, who was asleep on the couch, was awakened by Mayweather, who screamed and grabbed her hair while reading text message sent to her from NBA player C.J. Watson.
Statements from Harris and the children reveal that Mayweather punched and kicked Harris, who was later treated at a hospital.
“(My dad) said to lock my door and stay in my room,” Koraun recalled. “I sat there and thought about what I was going to do next. Just for like a minute.”
Harris’ friend Georgia Parker lived in a guesthouse in the back of the property and was the first person Koraun told about the attack on his mother. However, that was a dead end as he stated that she didn’t believe him.
“So I ran and I tried to go through the front door to go to the (security) gate,” Koraun said. “But then his friend (McNair) came through the door and blocked off the stairway for me to go through.
“Then I went back into my room and locked the door and then ran back out my bathroom and then hopped over the gate and went to the main entrance gate,” he continued. “I just told (the guard) that my mom was getting hurt and to call the ambulance and the police.”
Prior to the arrival of police, Mayweather and McNair left the property with Harris’ phone.
Looking back on how things could’ve turned out, Harris is grateful that Koraun saved her life.
“I just thanked him because I didn’t know how long it was going to continue to go on,” she told USA Today. “And I just feel like if he wouldn’t have gone to get the help that I may not even be able to be sitting here.”
Although he still sees  Mayweather on weekends, the athlete’s career holds no interest for Koraun, who admits to wanting nothing to do with boxing.

“We just hang out. We either watch a movie or something or go bowling,” he said. “I find (boxing) boring. It is just like how people sit in the ring and fight for 12 rounds and it gets boring after a while. Sometimes they run.
