“Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast and crew packed it up for the Far East confines of The Philippines, minus NeNe Leakes, who had a serious medical condition that prevented her from boarding that long-distance flight.
Leakes’ people told tmz.com that she had to back out of the exotic, once-in-a-lifetime trip because of her chronic blood clot issues that sometimes form around her lungs — a potentially fatal condition that landed her in the hospital last November.
Flying long distance is particularly dangerous, so Leakes deduced that the 20-hour flight was just not worth her life.
Leakes, it should be noted, is still on the RHOA, but won’t be appearing in the episodes that involve the trip. The rest of the ladies, including newcomers Claudia Jordan and actress/singer Demetria McKinney, look like they had a blast. Take a look at the photos below:
