Kanye Blast Media For Blasting Him
Kanye West is firing back at the media for demonizing him for telling a disabled fan to stand up during his concert in Brisbane, Australia.
West said the media shouldn’t be too focused on him — having more important issues to cover like police brutality or dying troops.
West stopped his concert and said he wanted to directly talk to his fans, and address the whole situation and send out a press release or tweet.
“They’ve got this thing where the want the masses, people who have never even heard one of my albums to read a headline that reads negative and to think that I am a bad person,” he said. “I’m a married Christian man.”
He added, “at my concerts I make sure that everybody has as good a time as possible,” he said about media headlines regarding the wheelchair debacle. “Pick a new target.”
West has been reportedly more sensitive to his wheelchair-bound fans since the incident, according to Australian newspaper, the Courier Mail.
“Everybody who is not in a wheelchair or handicapped will stand up … If you can not prove to me that you are in a wheelchair you need to be standing, if you can it is okay to sit down.”
