Oprah’s BFF Gayle King signs autographs at the O Town pop-up town at Centennial Park.

Yearning for more on Day 2 of Oprah’s ‘Live the Life You Want,’ thousands flocked to O Town, the interactive town square, as early 7 a.m. to be kissed by the sun, enjoy massages, free makeovers and fellowship with guests.
After enjoying the morning mini-makeovers, guests packed the sidewalks in an effort to beat the heat and get comfortable in their seats at Phillips Arena.   While waiting for the event to start, guests chatted on social media just to be surprised to see their Tweets and Instagram posts on the jumbo screen. Others grooved to the sounds provided by DJ Kiss. They joined together to do the Electric Slide, a dance that’s as universal as a smile.tlyw2
After breaking a sweat, they were fed spiritual nutrition courtesy of Dr. Deepak Chopra, the author of more than 80 books, including numerous New York Times bestsellers. Chopra, the founder of Chopra Center for Well Being, presented “The Life You Want Meditation” as the multitudes gathered in silence, awareness and participated in corporate meditation.
After guests exited meditation, Chopra and Oprah offered a free 21 Day Meditation Experience which begins on September 11, 2014 under the theme of their experience is “Expanding your Happiness.”
Angela Dunson of suburban Atlanta, said her most memorable quote from Dr. Chopra was “the awareness that we are spiritual beings living a human experience; I must listen to my spirit.”
Oprah returned to provide “Awakening to the Life You Want” by ordering her 20,000 or so guests to think about all the areas of their lives and circle categories that were most important. As guests began their in-class “homework,” Oprah delighted many in the crowd by randomly peeking over their shoulders to see what they were writing down in the circle and how they divided the circle based on the importance to them in areas such as finance, friends, family, occupation, material possession, etc.
After awakening, the were taken to “The Quest” by Elizabeth Gilbert. They also had the chance to see their present life with Oprah; experience everything spiritual with Rob Bell and toast to life with Iyanla Vanzant. Oprah Winfrey and Team Toyota brand ambassador Amy Purdy; honored Ashley Hicks and Toni Carey, the founders of Black Girls RUN! an Atlanta-based national running group with The Toyota “Standing O-Vation” award on Saturday, Sept. 6 in Atlanta, the first of eight awards to be presented at tour stops around the country this fall.tlyw5
As the time drew to close, everyone stood in awe and gave a standing “O-vation.” “I absolutely loved the entire experience. All of the positive inspirational women moving in the same directions… To be our best versions of ourselves” said Latasha Cain of Alpharetta, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta.
Before leaving the stage the emotional awarding winning mogul challenged the guests to “Create a New Vision” for their lives and to act on it immediately. The three distinguished and celebrity guests returned to the stage to answer the audiences tweeted questions, including how to keep the fire and passion burning beyond the event.
And that hopefully represented the first step in the throngs of fans’ quests in creating “the lives they want.”
