With the Nielsen numbers that “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” has been pulling in the past few seasons, the original incarnation of the LAHH franchise could use some infusion of adrenaline and excitement to keep up.
Well, according to sources close to the show, LAHHNY just might be getting a dramatic addition soon.
Word on the street is that newly freed convict Remy Ma will soon join the New York version of “Love and Hip Hop.”
Remy Ma, who spent six years in Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York for shooting her close friend — well, not anymore — over money told Angie Martinez on Power 105 that she will soon be featured on reality TV.
“They’re making me do it,” she was quoted as saying, according to It’s Only Entertainment.
Makes perfect sense if the story is indeed true. Remy Ma makes for fascinating theater. The overly dramatic veteran rapper, who would gun down her friend, and then get married to husband Papoose while behind bars is actually perfect for the small screen, believe it not.
Most fans of “ratchet-ness” and ghetto-fabulous living would love to find out the real story behind her mentality as she pulled the trigger on her “friend,” and whatever became of the victim. VH1 and “Love And Hip Hop New York” would welcome her with open arms.
Stay tuned to find out if this bit of news can be corroborated in the very near future.
