In what will go down as arguably the greatest day in Atlanta Braves history — along with Hank Aaron’s 715th home and the Braves World Series victory in 1995 — the architects of the team’s magical run in the 1990s were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, manager Bobby Cox were inducted at the same time and stood on stage with former New York manager Joe Torre and Chicago White Sox legend Frank Thomas.
Even the venerated Hank Aaron, who broke Babe Ruth’s home run record in 1974 when he belted number 715 en route to 755, was on hand during the weekend festivities.
