There are fashion shows and then there are fashion shows choreographed by Linda Whiters, owner of Wha Cha Ma Call it Creations and Fashion Beyond.
Whiters presented the Take Back the Night Fashion Gala and Entertainment Extravaganza last month at the Pittsburgh Coliseum. It was a marathon fashion show consisting of 11 scenes.
Some of the most memorable scenes included Glitz and Glamour; The Bold and the Beautiful; it’s a Black Thing; Flashing Lights; the Wild, Wild West; and Retro Soul Train.
In between scenes the crowd danced to DJ Mighty Man, while other breaks in the fashion show featured cover artists that channeled Whitney Houston and Tina Turner. Lady Kim Langford was a smooth commentator, while the models strutted clothes that went from the glamourous to the fashionable but bizarre.
Whiters has the uncanny knack of finding the most unusual fashions and you can purchase them at a fraction of their original cost at two locations, if you like hunting for hidden treasure pay a visit to her location on Trenton Avenue, in Wilkinsburg, or inside of Rossi’s Pop UP Flea Market, in North Versailles.
