BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — How apropos that a major BET Awards Weekend party devoted to transforming people’s looks was held at one of the city’s most famous hotels, the Beverly Wilshire, where the beloved blockbuster film Pretty Woman was made?
The upper levels of this ostentatious hotel metamorphosed into “beautification central” for throngs of pretty women during Atlantic Records’ showcase of celebrity hairstylists, barbers, makeup artists and manicurists inside the makeshift “BET Suite.”
Telecom company Cricket Wireless escorted several journalists, including this writer, through the lovely litany of celebrity stylists inside this expansive suite, which featured guest appearances such as Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond, Will Smith’s ex-wife Sheree Fletcher, actress Elise Neal (Hustle & Flow, Scream 2, Paid in Full) and many others.
