Celebrities, dignitaries honored at 'Giving is Good' Awards

Jasmine Crowe, center with hair in a bun, Ramona DeBreaux, 2nd from left, along with The Garner Circle, facilitated a powerful event devoted to giving.

The emotional energy inside Suite lounge was thick enough to reach out and grab it. No one who attended the BlackCelebrityGiving.com’s second annual “Giving is Good” Awards was not touched by the positive vibes that served as a powerful undercurrent to the gala’s evening of giving and receiving love. IMG_6430
Jasmine Crowe’s creation brought together celebrities, dignitaries, legislators and educators for a soothing soiree that was part awards program and part pep rally — all in the name of folks giving back to the earth that produced them, in order to till the soil to sprout even more greatness than was in the room this night.
Tameka Raymond blew us back with her spine-tingling tribute to her son through the Kile’s World Foundation, while Crowe & Co. lifted us back up with motivational words to inspire more people to contribute to the betterment of others.
Through the likes of Kisha Knight Pulliam, Rashan Ali, Kwanza Hall and other dignified award recipients, the message sent out was clear: when you come to the aid of others, you wind up being helped just as much, if not more, in return.
Take a look at some of the best photos from the Giving is Good awards.
