The Carnegie Museum of Art is currently exhibiting “Teenie Harris Baseball in Pittsburgh,” a 25 image display of baseball greats in the city taken by Teenie Harris.
The Harris photos were guest curated by Josh Gibson’s great grandson, Sean Gibson, of the Josh Gibson Foundation.
The exhibit also includes a local component that emulates the technique that George Barbour and Harris utilized for their “Pittsburgher’s Speak Out” and “Pittsburgher’s Speak up” series for the Pittsburgh Courier.
Lynne Hayes-Freeland, of KDKA-TV, was the modern-day interviewing reporter and Nikkia Hall was the modern-day photographer.
