Love made a Michigan man drive cross country with his girlfriend. His dead girlfriend.
Ray Tomlinson of Detroit reportedly arrived in Michigan Monday night after driving from Arizona with his 93-year-old mother and his girlfriend.
The unidentified woman, 31, died during the trip. Tomlinson’s conscious would not allow him to leave her at a strange hospital in an unknown town, and he believed he had 48 hours to report the death. Therefore, Tomlinson kept it pushing, determined to get her home to suburban Detroit. the Detroit Free Press reports.
“I cared too much for her,” Tomlinson revealed.
Investigators told the media they have not determined the cause of death. But they believe it was a drug overdose. The deceased woman was found with an empty bottle of OxyContin.
Tomlinson has not been charged and foul play is not suspected, the Free Press added.
