Monumental says goodbye to Rev. Smith

Friends and Family of Monumental Missionary Baptist Church, in the Hill District, joined together to bid a final farewell to Rev. Thomas Smith at a Retirement Banquet on March 28 at the Hilton Garden Inn, in Oakland. The former pastor left the city after years of being a minister and an activist. He retired from the church in December and left the city March 31. See the full story in the April 2-8, 2014 edition.
