Detroit Police Chief James Craig has been cracking down hard on crime in Detroit and now he is the target of a recent death threat. According to reports the threat is possibly from a drug dealer and was directed to Chief Craig via the internet.
According to Fox 2 News:
Craig says it’s the first time in his almost 40 years on the job that his life has been threatened. He calls it confirmation that Detroit is on the right track and he won’t stop now.
“I want to be there when he’s arrested,” Craig told Fox 2. “This is America and in America you do not threaten a police chief.
According to the Detroit News:
The threats were made on a social media site with a picture of a gun and the words “We have to clap him out.”
The FBI is investigating a death threat against Detroit Police Chief James Craig.
