Fulton County Board of Commissioners Approves 2013-2014 Contracts for Services Program 2nd Round Arts Services Awards

FultonCountyLogo.jpgOn Dec. 4, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved the second round of the 2013-2014 Contracts for Services Program Arts Services Outreach Initiative awards. The goal of the second Round of funding is to expand the availability of arts programs through direct services provided to underserved populations in north, south and unincorporated Fulton County.
The total amount approved was $398,463.86 in funding contracts with 27 Fulton County-based arts and cultural organizations to provide services for Fulton County citizens for 2013-2014.

These 2nd Round awards are in addition to the 2013-2014 Contracts for Services Program – 1st Round awards totaling $1,478,202 that were given to 94 arts and cultural organizations by the Board of Commissioners on September 4, 2013.
The Fulton County Arts and Culture Department manages and implements the Contracts for Services program on behalf of Fulton County Government. The program supports a variety of arts and culture programs and is projected to serve more than 4 million individuals in all areas of the County, insuring the availability of quality art programs for Fulton County residents.
Each organization’s applications and support materials are submitted and reviewed by Fulton County Arts & Culture staff and a citizen panel, then approved by the Fulton County Arts Council. Applicants recommended for funding are then submitted to the Board of Commissioners for final approval.
Additionally, thanks to the Contracts for Services program, Fulton County Arts & Culture leverages additional private, corporate and foundation support, further ensuring a healthy and vibrant arts and cultural infrastructure in the County.
