Cosmopolitan A.M.E. Church to Celebrate ‘No Excuse’ Sunday Dec. 29

Cosmopolitan A.M.E. Church in Atlanta will be celebrating “No Excuse” Sunday on  December 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m.  The church, located at 170 Vine Street N.W. Atlanta, GA  30314,  has set up “No Excuse” Sunday as an event designed to encourage everyone to attend church on the last Sunday of the year.
“We invite you to bring family, friends, neighbors and out of town guest with you to witness a soul stirring message,” the church said in a release. “Our guest preacher will be Rev. Charles Bennett, Presiding Elder of the West Atlanta District.”
The church is also encouraging a no-frills approach to mass with its upcoming day of prayer.
“Come as you are!  No special attire required,” say church officials. “The public is invited to share with us as we lift up the name of Jesus in celebration with prayer, praise, worship and the preaching of an anointed word.”
