The family of Kendrick Johnson has demanded answers for the mysterious death of the Georgia teen whose body was discovered in a rolled-up gym mat at his school in January. Johnson’s family insists that the boy was murdered.

With new videotape footage from a surveillance camera made available to the family, even more questions have been raised as a result.

A report from CNN reveals shots of Johnson walking in the gym at Lowndes High School in Valdosta, where a reported 36 cameras are positioned inside and outside the area where his body was discovered. On the first clip as part of the latest footage that was legally obtained by the Johnson family, the teen is seeing walking across the basketball court with another student trailing him.

Suddenly, a second clip jumps that shows Johnson running and other students appear in the shot later. Although CNN says this is how they received the video, it appears a quick edit was made, considering the quickness of other students appearing in the shot. CNN host Anderson Cooper said during a broadcast that it did appear the video was edited in some fashion, which would support the Johnson family’s claims of a cover up.

However, a third clip is the most baffling as it provides a shot of the corner where Johnson’s body was discovered yet the resolution is blurry. It appears, as reported, that a nurse is running inside the gym near the mats and the possibility of someone carrying a gurney. What footage is not available, however, are the moments in between the time that Johnson was seeing walking inside the gym, and the events that led to his death.

Attorney Benjamin Crump has been vocal in stating that he and the family are dissatisfied with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and their determination that the death was accidental.

“There are so many questions yet unanswered. As we’ve said before, this is a real-life murder mystery and there just seems to be more and more adding to the mystery,” Crump, said to CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360.”

Crump added, “(Kendrick’s) parents have always said, all they want to know is the truth. And this video tape seems to tell us that the truth has not come out yet, almost as if something was done with this one video to help conceal the truth. But we’re going to keep pressing to get the truth to this murder mystery.”

A federal investigation into Johnson’s death was launched last week, nearly 11 months after his passing. U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia Michael Moore has said that if the evidence points to murder, he will seek criminal or civil rights charges.
