Prince Debuts ‘Breakfast Can Wait’ Video

Prince, the music icon whose every move is still news and whose concerts still out almost immediately no matter how large the venue, has released an official music video for his new song, “Breakfast Can Wait.”
The video was, surprisingly, directed by an 18 year old: Danielle Curiel, who also stars with a crew of carefully chosen dancers in the video alongside Prince.
Curiel was granted complete artistic and directorial freedom by Prince after one reading of the treatment she submitted for the song.
“Breakfast Can Wait” was the second most added single on urban radio last week and generated significant online coverage when it was initially released last month.
Prince debuted the single’s satirical artwork featuring Dave Chappelle dressed as Prince, along with a teaser clip for the video, through his Twitter account.
Prince, who has been electively absent from social media until recently, has taken to Twitter, YouTube and Livestream, posting photos, interacting directly with fans and streaming exclusive performance snippets from various locations around the world.
In related news, with his 21-piece group, the New Power Generation, Prince presented a special showcase for fans at his legendary Paisley Park recording studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Shortly after the show he posted a thank you video for those fans.
