Georgia State Student Wins Atlanta Dream/Equifax Scholarship

Mikayla Watts, a sophomore at Georgia State University, was announced as the winner of a $5,000 scholarship presented by Equifax during the Atlanta Dream’s game against the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday afternoon.

Watts was selected as the winner of a contest conducted by Equifax and the Dream, which was awarded to an Atlanta area college student who wrote the best essay on the topic of “Who Empowers You?” Watts’ essay highlighted the importance of self-motivation and empowering oneself.

John Hartman, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Equifax, presented Watts with the $5,000 check on the court during halftime of the Dream’s game.
