According to Deadline.com, comic, actor and singer Donald Glover has a sitcom titled “Atlanta” in the works that he will be writing and executive producing for FX.
The show, in which Glover will star as the lead character, is based on Atlanta’s music scene. Glover also stars in the NBC comedy “Community,” and goes by the stage name Childish Gambino as a hip-hop artist.
Glover was raised in Stone Mountain by a father who was a postal worker and a mother who owned a daycare. He attended Rockbridge Elementary and DeKalb School of the Arts, and graduated from New York University in 2006 with a degree in dramatic writing.
