Atlanta’s Economy No. 65 in the Nation

According to the most recent On Numbers Economic Index, Atlanta’s economy is currently ranked No. 65 out of 102 major cities in America.

The index for July shows that Atlanta’s one-year private-sector job growth is up 2.5 percent, and one-year house value growth is up 0.84 percent.

However, five-year private sector job growth was down 1.07 percent and five year earnings growth among workers was -0.58 percent. Weekly earnings per worker reresented $853.93, and the unemployment rate was found to be at 8.2 percent.

Also on the list was Augusta, Ga., at No. 80.

As of July, the top five metropolitan areas are currently Provo, Utah, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Texas, Oklahoma City and Houston.
