Atlanta’s dancing stars are invited to spending an evening enjoying the most fun you can have on two feet – all to raise $50,000 to help send young people to school with scholarship awards from the Barbara Lewis King Scholarship Foundation. The event will be held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis on Saturday, June 29 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 p.m.

Since 1997, the Barbara Lewis King Scholarship Foundation has helped more than 200 aspiring students with over $265,000 towards realizing their educational dreams.

At this year’s dance extravaganza, celebrity judges CBS Atlanta Radio’s Mo Ivory, the Trumpeteer and recording artist, Joey Sommerville, and from the talented singing group – “SWV,” Taj George, will raise their paddles on performances of cool “Chicago Stepping,” sultry “Salsa Dancing,” the sophisticated New York Latin Hustle, elegant “Detroit Style Ballroom,” and more – all hosted by the fabulous and very funny “Trumpet Awards” founder Ms. Xernona Clayton.

This fun-filled affair also will feature a performance by the electrifying, “Uhuru African Dance Troop. “Buy a ticket, have some fun, send a child to school!” Dr. King says.

The Barbara Lewis King Scholarship Foundation scholarship recipients are selected based on criteria and characteristics demonstrated by Dr. Barbara Lewis King – Founder Minister of Hillside International Truth Center such as excellence in education, community service, following one’s dreams, and walking in faith.

The Atlanta Marriott Marquis is located at 265 Peachtree Center Avenue. Ticket costs are $75. They can be purchased at
