The president of the Arthur Blank Family Foundation will meet Wednesday evening at 7pm with the residents of the neighborhoods surrounding the new proposed stadium area for the Atlanta Falcons.

The meeting, which is being held by the Northwest Community Alliance, will take place at the Senior Citizens Center of Metropolitan Atlanta, with special guest Penny McPhee, the Blank Family Foundation’s president, in attendance. McPhee is scheduled to discuss the benefits a new stadium will bring to the neighboring Vine City and English Avenue communities.

On Tuesday, Invest Atlanta deferred a vote to distribute bonds associated with the city’s hotel-motel tax dollars in order to pay for 20 percent of the construction costs. The Atlanta Falcons franchise is expected to cover the remainder of the $1 billion bill.

The Arthur Blank Family Foundation has committed to donating $15 million toward community development around the Georgia Dome and the new stadium area.
