Gwinnett School System Selects Jardine as Steele’s Replacement

Daniel “Danny” Jardine has been named the Gwinnett County school system’s chief operations officer.

The Gwinnett County Board of Education selected Jardine to replace longtime COO Jim Steele. Steele retired last fall.

Jardine, who has more than 30 years of experience in design and construction, will lead the district’s Division of Facilities and Operations. Jardine will have oversight of facility planning and construction, fleet and grounds maintenance, building maintenance, environmental and supply services, as well as risk management and transportation. His annual salary will be $178,214.
