The Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers held on for a 67-65 conference win over Paine College at Epps Gymnasium Saturday.

Junior guard Conisha Hicks helped the Lady Panthers to a 35-32 half-time advantage with 14 of her 19 total points in the first period.

Coming back with the same momentum the Lady Panthers maintained a lead to win the game. For the second consecutive game centers Erika Sumpter and LaQuisha Lewis recorded a double-double.

Lewis finished with 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds while Sumpter added 12 points and 10 rebounds to go along with Shavon Caldwell’s 13 points. CAU’s starters scored 60 of the team’s 67 total points in the game.

The Lady Panthers look for another win on Monday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m., for Greek Night as they take on the Lady Tigers of Benedict College.
