Congresswoman Marcia Fudge of Ohio has been elected to lead the Congressional Black Caucus.

The Democrat and former mayor of Warrensville Heights near Cleveland says key caucus issues include jobs, especially double-digit unemployment among black Americans.

Fudge will lead the caucus for the upcoming two-year congressional term. The caucus has 43 members.

Fudge was elected in 2008 to serve the final months of the term of the late congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

Fudge also was elected to a full term in 2008 and has been re-elected twice, most recently Nov. 6 without opposition.
